What’s On this week?

What’s on at heckington pavilion?

Monday 16th May to Sunday 22nd May 2022

As always, you will be pleased to hear that we have lots going on again this week at Heckington Pavilion. If you are looking for things to do with kids, family or friends, we have lots of variety for you.

With a coffee shop, licensed bar, snack kitchen, pool table, board games and play park on site, you will always be well catered for.

If you fancy getting involved in Heckington’s Best Kept Blooming Village, join the community meeting on Monday 16th May from 19:00.

And on the note of ‘blooming’, the Allotment Committee have their meeting on Wednesday 18th May from 19:00.

If cars are more your thing, then you’re in luck this week as Heckington Auto Club has 2 events happening. The first is their monthly meet-up, this is an opportunity to come along and speak to members of the group about all things cars. You can also discuss membership and events they attend/run.

The second of car events we have this week is a wonderful car show organised and run by Heckington Auto Club. On Sunday 22nd May, they will line up their vehicles on the playing fields at Heckington Pavilion for people to wonder round and enjoy the beautiful machines our time has produced. The owners will be on hand to have a chat with also. This event will run 13:00 to 17:00.

As with any of our events on the playing fields, we do ask that owners do not bring their dogs or any other pets onto the field themselves. They are very welcome inside the coffee shop & bar and in the outside seating area.

If you are looking for something to do with the kids this week, Heckington Pavilion runs 2 weekly sessions for 0-5 year olds. The first is a stay and play Soft Play session on Wednesday’s 12:00 to 14:30. The cost is £3 per child and covers the whole session.

The second of our weekly kids sessions is Kids Play on Friday’s 12:00 to 14:30. This is a free session to attend and parents are reminded they aren’t expected to spend any money in return for visiting this session.

Thursday night see’s the regular Bears Youth Football Club ran by Bears Academy on the playing fields between 17:30 to 18:30.

If you fancy yourself as a brainiac, or just want to come along and have some fun, Heckington Pavilion’s weekly quiz night is a sure fire way to get your brain cells going with lots of laughter along the way! It costs £1 per player, maximum 6 players per team. There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. The questions are a great mix, but we always like to have a picture round and audio music round… the other 4 are all down to how the quizmaster feels on the day!

Saturday this week see’s Heckington Cricket Club playing at home again, where they’ve had some amazing success of late! Start of play is at 13:00, so come along and cheer the team on for another home win!

Finally this week, the ‘main event’, or it is to those who attend and participate, there is Karaoke on Friday night from 19:00. Come along and sing your heart out, taking singers from Heckington, Sleaford and everywhere else!

Have a great week everyone!
